Kadanza Copenhagen.
The three recorder players met in Copenhagen in 1997 and formed Kadanza Copenhagen, named after the composition "Kadanza" by Van de Nieuwkierk from 1990. The trio felt inspired by the humorous expressions and exuberant energy of the piece.
The repertoire embraces a broad spectrum of musical expression, from the medieval, early Renaissance - the Baroque - to contemporary music.
The early music is played on copies of original instruments, and especially the Renaissance flutes, have a characteristically warm and intimate sound.
The array of instruments consists of many different recorders, ranging from the smallest at 23 cm to 130 cm.
Kadanza Copenhagen performs concerts at a fee of DKK 6300, plus transportation costs.
The program can be arranged for dinner music, receptions and special events.
