Ella Moray Williams was born in Denmark, by Danish-English parents in 1968. She began playing the recorder flute as a 7-year-old. After recorder studies with Frances Blaker and Inger Toft Nielsen, she was admitted to the Royal Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.


She finished The Diploma in Recorder performance after studies with Vicki Boeckmann and Nikolai Ronimus in 1997. She has participated in master classes with Marion ver Brüggen, Han Tol, Peter Holtslag, Poul Høxbro, Pedro Memelsdorff and has worked professionally as a solo and chamber musician since 1990.


In 1997, she won a Diploma di Merito in the Torneo Internationale di Musica competition in Italy.


Ella Moray Williams has performed as soloist and chamber musician in various venues and now works primarily on music mixed with poetry and theater.


Ella Moray Williams has trained her voice with voice teachers Magrethe Enevold, Hanne Stavad, and Georg Nielsen. She has performed as a singer since 2000.
